FORT LAUDERDALE – Ethan Bortnick has announced that his two hometown concerts at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, September 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 17 at 3:30 p.m. will offer inspirational messages to those facing hardship in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma.

First responders including fire, police, EMS, FP&L crews and local public service agencies will receive two free tickets at Broward Center’s AutoNation Box Office with valid ID. Supply is limited and tickets are available on a first come first serve basis at the box office beginning Friday, September 15 at 10 a.m. In addition a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Bortnick-related merchandise will be donated to the American Red Cross. Contributions will also be accepted for the American Red Cross.

“I will also debut a new song, ‘Reason to Believe,’” Bortnick said. “It is a song that talks about moving on and getting through some hard times. I tour internationally but I want to make these hometown concerts special and a way to both give back to the community and offer a respite from this stressful and difficult time.”

Recognized by the Guinness World Records as “The World's Youngest Solo Musician to Headline His Own Concert Tour,” 16-year-old worldwide musical phenomenon performs two live concerts based on his wildly popular public television concert The Power of Music. The program features Bortnick’s original compositions, along with songs from The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Chopin, Billy Joel, Broadway and more. As a special treat, this teenage piano prodigy will compose music on the spot with suggestions from the audience and answer questions during a special Q&A segment.
